THIRTY- NINTH ANNUAL REDBUD CANOE POKER RUN RACE TO BE HELD ON APRIL 19
The Thirty-ninth Annual Honaker Redbud Festival Canoe Race will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. The race will begin at the Blackford Canoe Access Area. Canoes and kayaks will end at the Puckett's Hole Canoe Access Area on the Clinch River. An entry fee of $10.00 per person will be required. No one under 18 years of age will be allowed to enter without parental consent and without an adult in the boat.
The Blackford Canoe Access Area is on Route 80 three miles south of Honaker and three miles north of Rosedale and US Route 19. The Puckett Hole Access Area is about 6 miles west of Blackford off State Route 652, just north of its intersection with State Route 640. Karla Herndon Park is located about 2.5 miles south of Honaker on State Route 651 near the Hubbard Hole.
